Frequently Asked Questions

Where the Roses Grow Floristry Studio is a boutique floral studio based in Port Adelaide, specialising in romantic, garden inspired florals for thoughtfully styled celebrations, meaningful gifting, and bespoke events.
Every arrangement is designed and created by me personally in my private studio using carefully sourced seasonal blooms selected for their movement, texture, colour, and natural beauty.
Working in this slower, more intentional way allows me to create florals that feel personal, artful, and deeply considered - never mass produced or rushed.
My Aesthetic & Inspiration
My work is inspired by old world gardens, winding rose paths, overflowing flower markets, and the beautifully imperfect nature of flowers as they grow in the wild.
I’m drawn to soft movement, airy structure, delicate texture, and florals that feel as though they’ve been gently gathered from an overgrown countryside garden rather than tightly arranged or overly styled.
Flowers are chosen not only for colour, but for the feeling they evoke - creating arrangements that feel romantic, nostalgic, feminine, and quietly luxurious.
Rather than recreating exact Pinterest photos or replicating another florist’s work, clients come to me for a signature aesthetic and an artistic, intuitive approach to floristry. Every arrangement is interpreted through my style and the beauty of the current season, ensuring no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
Thoughtful & Ethical Floristry
Where possible, I choose to work foam free using reusable and environmentally conscious mechanics that allow flowers to move more naturally and age beautifully.
During spring, summer, and autumn, I prioritise sourcing flowers from local South Australian growers wherever possible, celebrating seasonality and supporting the incredible farms and flower growers close to home.
I believe flowers are at their most beautiful when they are allowed to reflect the season they were grown in - embracing their natural movement, character, and fleeting beauty rather than forcing perfection.
Every stem is carefully conditioned, hydrated, and prepared by hand to ensure longevity, freshness, and the best possible vase life once it arrives in your home.
Visiting the Studio
Where the Roses Grow operates as a private working studio rather than a traditional retail shopfront.
As both a florist and a mother and wife, it’s deeply important to me that I’m able to balance creating beautiful work with being fully present for my family. Because of this, I kindly ask that all studio visits and collections are arranged in advance via phone, email, or Instagram message rather than through unannounced walk-ins.
This allows me to thoughtfully plan my days around market runs, consultations, event work, deliveries, family life, and creating each arrangement with the care and attention it deserves.
Same day bouquets are often available depending on the day’s flower selection, however availability changes daily and pre ordering is always recommended.
More than just flowers
Every bouquet is designed to feel like a gift. Your blooms arrive nestled in our signature bouquet box with a fresh water source, wrapped in beautiful papers and ribbons, accompanied by a handwritten style gift card, flower food, and care instructions. Each arrangement is also treated with a floral preserving spray to help maximise freshness and longevity, ensuring your flowers arrive looking their very best.
Caring for Your Flowers
Flowers are naturally delicate and ever changing, which is part of what makes them so special.
To help your blooms last beautifully, I recommend trimming the stems on an angle, placing them into clean water with flower food, refreshing the water every 1-2 days, and keeping them away from direct heat and sunlight.
As your flowers open and evolve over the coming days, you’ll notice new movement, texture, and personality emerge - much like a garden naturally unfolding over time.
The Heart Behind the Studio
At the heart of Where the Roses Grow is a love for creating beautiful things slowly and thoughtfully.
For flowers that feel gathered rather than manufactured.
For seasonality over perfection.
For atmosphere, emotion, and artistry over excess.
Every arrangement is created with intention - designed to bring softness, beauty, and a little bit of magic into everyday life and life’s most meaningful moments.
