I'm Kelsey, and Where the Roses Grow is a little piece of everything I love.

I've always been a romantic — the sort who finds far too much joy in an old novel, a garden that's been left to grow a little wild, the first flowers of a new season and the way the afternoon light falls across the kitchen table. I love old English gardens most of all; roses tumbling over weathered walls, foxgloves standing amongst the borders and tiny, delicate flowers growing in all the spaces between. The kind of garden that feels as though it has always been there, quietly changing with the seasons.

So much of that has found its way into my flowers.

I work from my little studio in Port Adelaide, often with flowers from my own garden tucked amongst those I've brought home from the market. The seasons have become such a lovely rhythm to my work — waiting for the first sweet peas, getting excited when the poppies return, watching the roses begin to open again. I don't think I'll ever stop finding something a little magical about it.

Where the Roses Grow has grown slowly alongside my own life, and I think that's why it feels so personal to me. It's my love of gardens and old stories, of making things with my hands, of noticing the small beautiful things that could so easily be missed.

And somehow, I get to gather a little of all of that together into flowers for you.

I don't think I could ask for a lovelier job.
