Where the Roses Grow

Where the Roses Grow

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” -  Anaïs Nin

There’s something about this time of year - the slow stretch toward spring, the garden just starting to stir again - that always makes me reflect on how far things have come.

When I first started Herbs & Homesteading, it was a little Instagram account documenting my garden, cooking adventures with Ollie, and whatever else I was creating at the time. I never imagined it would one day grow into this… a business built on florals, candles, stories, and a whole lot of heart. But lately, I’ve felt a shift. Quiet at first, then impossible to ignore. Like something new was trying to bloom.

So, I’m taking a bit of a leap and stepping into a new chapter - Herbs & Homesteading is changing names.

From now on, this little business will be called:
Where the Roses Grow 🌹

It’s a name that feels like home. Soft, romantic, rooted in the countryside and inspired by the roses I’ve always loved. It still nods to where I began, but it also reflects where I’m heading. Over the last year, I’ve naturally found myself moving toward more event florals and styling work, and creating candles that feel like little stories in a jar. It felt like the right time to give the brand a name that really holds all of that.

So what’s changing - and what’s not?
You’ll still find me in the studio with armfuls of blooms, crafting seasonal wreaths and arranging wild, garden-inspired florals. I’ll still be pouring candles, sharing behind-the-scenes moments, baking sourdough, and popping up at markets when I can. But you’ll start to notice the business leaning more into floral styling for events, curated gifting bundles, and something I’m ridiculously excited about… my new signature candle range.

I’ve spent months quietly blending and testing these behind the scenes, and I can honestly say they’re some of my favourite things I’ve ever created. Each scent is hand blended by me using high quality fragrance oils, with combinations that are totally unique to Where the Roses Grow. No mass-produced formulas here - just thoughtful, layered blends that tell a little story with every burn.

Here’s a little sneak peek at a few of the new scents:

Garden Gate – tomato leaf, basil, heirloom roses
Smells like early summer mornings in the veggie patch, warm soil underfoot and the scent of roses climbing the fence.

Farmshop Mornings – earl grey, oat biscuit, lavender sugar, honey
Comfort in a jar. Think tea with a biscuit at your favourite local café, wrapped in a soft jumper.

Honeycomb Parlour – wildflower honey, almond cake, warm milk
Golden and nostalgic, like baking on a rainy afternoon with the kettle always on.

There are more coming soon -and I can’t wait to share them with you properly.

Thank you for being here through all the seasons so far. Whether you’ve followed along since the early garden days or just found your way here recently, I’m so grateful. This next chapter feels really special - and I hope you’ll come along for it.

With love and wildflowers,
Kels x
From the place where the roses grow.
